As an artist, your LinkBossPro Biolink page is a representation of your brand and your work. It is a critical component of your promotion and marketing strategy and should be treated as such.
In this article, we will provide you with detailed insight into how you as an artist can use 5 different link types on your biolink page to better increase engagement, grow you audience, and up your conversions.
You can display your latest music video, interview, or behind the scenes footage on your page. Enable your fans to engage with your video rather than a link button that links to your video.
All the video plays on your LinkBossPro Biolink page will be add to the overall count of your views on Youtube and Vimeo (for adding a TikTok video click HERE).
Here’s how to do it:
Step1: Open your Biolink page, click links, then click “Add a link”.
Step2: Select “Vimeo”, or “YouTube” from the link type selector tool.
Step3: Paste the YouTube or Vimeo video URL into the input box as per below and click “Submit”.
Note: make sure to copy the share link URL for the video. For help with obtaining the share link URL, check out: Add a Vimeo video to your page or Add a YouTube video to your page
Your Video will now display on your page and your audience will be able to press play and enjoy your content.
You can embed a music player on your page for each of these services. This enables your fans to sample, or play the song while looking at all your important content and overall page.
Step2: Select “Spotify”, “Apple” “Music”, “Tidal”, or “Soundcloud” from the link type selector tool.
Step 3: Copy and paste the URL to your content for “Spotify”, “Apple Music”, “Soundcloud”, or “Tidal” into the URL field, and then click “Submit”.
Your embedded music player should now appear on your page like in the example below.
You can include an image on your page for your latest album, event, or just your press shots. An image visually enhances your page and creates interest.
To add and image follow these steps:
Step1: Open your Biolink page, click links then click “Add a link”.
Step2: Select the “Image” option from the link type selection tool.
Step3: Choose your image from your device.
Locate that the image that you want to add to your page and click open. Then add the destination URL for where you would like to send people if they click on the image. Now click “Submit”.
Note: It is recommended that you select a square or rectangular image as they work best and that you keep the image size under 500kb to ensure good load times when people access your page.
Your image will now display on your Biolink page as per the below examples.
An image grid is a perfect way to display your previous releases (albums, EPs, or singles) on your artist Biolink page.
Normally your latest release or content is positioned at the top of your page as it is the focus of your current marketing campaign.
However, one way to create a holistic experience and link your fans to all your content is to include an image grid.
You can link each image to an album-specific Biolink page or to your record label/aggregator music link.
Here’s how to do this:
Step1: Open your Biolink page, click links then click “Add a link”.
Step2: Select “Image Grid” from the link type selection tool.
Step3: Add images to your Biolink page grid
Input the name that you would like to appear on the overlay, then select the image from your device and click open and finally paste the destination URL (your album Biolink page, or your label music link).
Finally click “Submit”. Your first image in the gris will now appear on your Biolink page. Repeat the steps above to add your next image.
Once you have completed your image grid, it will look similar to the example below.
You can add a link button to your page and customise the look and feel so that it represents your brand and matches your general page aesthetic.
To add a link button to you page and customise it, follow these steps:
Step1: Open your Biolink page, click links, then click “Add a Link”.
Step2: Select “Link” from the link type selection tool.
Step3: Input the “Destination URL” and the “Name” the must appear on the button on your page. Then click “Submit”.
Your link button will by default appear on your page however it will have a generic appearance. To customise your link button follow th next few steps.
Step4: Select the 3 dots on the right-hand side of the link button and then click on “edit” for the link button you want to customise.
Step5: Add a thumbnail image, icon or select to add neither to your link button.
For the thumbnail, select “Upload” under the Thumbnail section and choose your preferred image from your device, crop and then click “open” and lastly “Update”.
For an icon, go to the icon section as per below image and select the icon you want, then click update.
Step6: Customise the button text colour, background colour, outline colour and drop shadow.
For the text colour, background colour, and outline colour when you click on the box you will see the tool that you can pick the base colour. The first slider adjust this colour.
You can also control the “opacity”. This is controlled by the right-hand slider. When you are happy with the look and feel, click “Save”, then “Update”.
